On November 19, 2024, Clarivate Analytics officially released the list of Highly Cited Researchers 2024, selecting top scientific talents with significant and broad impact in their respective fields from universities, research institutions, and commercial organizations worldwide. This year, 6,636 scientists from more than 1,200 institutions across 59 countries and regions were selected.

Fan Chunhai (DNA Storage Research Center), Yang Xudong (Future Materials Innovation Center), Zhuang Xiaodong (Synthetic Science Innovation Center), and Liang Zheng (Frontier Center of Transformative Molecular Science) from Zhangjiang Institute for Advanced Study were included in the list. Being selected means that the scholar has made important academic contributions across one or more disciplines in the natural or social sciences over the past decade.
